Craig Gray

In the past 2 years I have been fortunate to have installed well over 20 large-scale sculpture in Florida and across the United States. My works are inspired by the disappearing roadside Americana.

Today it is unfortunate that one city can look like the next. The same fast-food restaurants and big box retailers. My reference point is from my childhood in the 1970s and 1980s, the family road trips in the back of a Ford Pinto Wagon. The sculpture I create might have been on the route or may have been in my imagination. Regardless, these artworks are easy to understand, and bring a smile to your face whether, you are eight or eighty. So sit back, put the window down for the dog, slide an eight-track tape in the player, and start down the “Holiday Road”.
