My interest in photography dates back to my college days. I took one photography class that peaked my interest, but like so many, I never followed that interest to see where it would lead. Fast forward more than twenty years later and I found that interest once again, but this time it was not in a classroom. It was kayaking along the rivers and streams of the Chesapeake Bay. The stillness of the early morning waters coupled with the early activity of natures’ creatures created moments that I wanted to capture, and my consciousness never wanted to leave.

I realized that each paddle along the Chesapeake Bay was a journey where I was focused without distractions. They were moments that culminated with goodness, stillness, peace and tranquility and they were moments that I wanted to confiscate and share with others. Capturing these moments of #beautyintheworld has now become a creative outlet that pushes me to go further in my search for beauty in nature and people.

Whether it is in moments of stillness, storminess, trials or tribulations, there is an abundance of beauty that needs to be captured and shared with others. I know there is #beautyintheworld if we choose to see it! I've traveled to twenty-six countries and thirty-eight of the fifty states in the United States and beauty is in abundance.
