Francis Sills

A recent transplant to Charleston, SC from Brooklyn, NY, Francis Sills works in the realist tradition in both painting and drawing. His subject matter consists primarily of landscapes, but more recently he has been focusing on interiors. By working from observation, his paintings explore the density and subtly of vision, revealing the specific nuances of color, light, and form. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University in 1996 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design in 2001. His work is represented by Kenise Barnes Fine Art in Larchmont, NY and has been included in numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
