Gail Sims

Art has always been a part of my life. As a young child, one of my closest neighbors was the Brooklyn Museum of Art which provided many happy hours of exposure to beauty and form. As I studied mathematics, there was always an art class involved somewhere to rest my brain. Over the years, my journey into the art world has included painting, pottery and textiles in weaving, yarn and cloth. Currently, I am involved in surface design, creating my own fabric with dye, paint, print techniques and discharge processes. My preference is a rich color palette with interesting textures that draw the viewer in.
