Gail Peck

Gail Peck was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has always been inspired by the
natural world and has been involved in art making since she was a small child. Gail
received her Bachelor’s of Art in Art History from Arizona State University. She is currently
studying at Maryland Institute College of Art and expects to graduate with a Master’s of
Fine Art in Studio Art in 2024.
Gail uses her artwork as a vehicle for creating awareness, posing questions, and for
making statements on various social issues. The most prevalent themes in her work
include motherhood, grief, and the feminine experience.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, her paintings, photography, and assemblage have been
shown in the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, the National Cathedral, The
Invitational Gallery at Strathmore, BlackRock Center for the Arts, in addition to multiple
galleries, and art centers throughout North America. Her painting, Gustav’s Quilt I, won
first place in the “Introspective Images” exhibition in Bethesda, MD in 2004. Her work is
held in multiple private collections throughout the United States and has appeared in
The Washington Post. She is presently exploring new pathways for her practice through the
use of sound and video in her work.
