Gordon Auchincloss

Gordon Auchincloss is Vermont based sculptor who lives with his wife and two sons in Hardwick. During the course of his career he has explored a number of three dimensional aesthetics, most of which involve some aspect of dynamic kinetic action. The aspects of an Auchincloss sculpture involve refined geometries, clean craftsmanship, and graceful forms; these qualities culminate in elegant designs with enduring aesthetics. Purely and honestly modern, his work is an ideal complement to any elevated setting. Auchincloss works in bronze, stainless steel, copper, and occasionally painted or powder coated metals and he creates both suspended and freestanding work with equal interest and enthusiasm. In addition to the residential pieces he creates, his monumental work may be found in a significant number of corporate, educational, and healthcare settings.
