Born In Los Angeles California, BFA UCSB College of Creative Studies, MFA Hunter College NY, Theresa has participated in over 100 group show internationally and in the US. Hackett is represented by High Noon Gallery, NY. Her work has been reviewd in "Art Critical", "Two Coats of Paint", "NYTimes", "Art in America", and many others.
Theresa is a twice recipient of a Pollock Krasneer Award, and a NewYork Foundations For The Arts award, and nominated several times for the Joan Mitchell Award. Her residencies include, Siena Art Institute, Siena, Italy, Bogliasco Foundation, Bogliasco, Italy, MacDowell residency and serveral others.
