Hannah Jaumot

I am Hannah Jaumot, a textile and embroidery artist from Saint Augustine, Florida. Art has been my main motivation in life ever since I won first place in my school’s art competition in the first grade. From visual arts to theatre, the arts have always been my safe space. What began as a love for drawing cartoon characters evolved into a multidisciplinary practice including embroidery, illustration, and textile techniques. I received my BFA in Fibers with a minor in Drawing in 2023 from the Savannah College of Art and Design. An anti-minimalist, my work is full of detail, color, and texture, bringing the mental stimulation that maximalism creates to the forefront. Exploring the human imagination and inspired by far away galaxies, my work contains the weird and unusual influenced from cult science fiction and the microscopic.
