Janet Yagoda Shagam

Born 1949 in Washington DC. BS in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, MS in Biochemistry, University of Arizona and PhD in Biology University of New Mexico. Attended the Massachusetts College of Art Saturday Program for High School Students 1966-1967. Intaglio and relief printing with Regina Held, and Carol Sanchez, New Ground Printshop, 2002-2003. Mezzotint workshop with Carol Sanchez, Harwood Art Center, 2005. Relief printing and lithography with Yoshiko Shimano, University of New Mexico, 2008-2009Participated as a collaborative artist in the Tamarind Institute Master Printmaker program, January-May 2007. Medical and Science writer. Part-time faculty in the Professional Writing Program at UNM. Part-time faculty in the Masters of Public Health program, UNM School of Medicine. Adjunct professor, Biology Department, UNM. Annual writing workshop, Max Planck Institute, Gottingen, Germany. Exhibited throughout the United States, Australia, Korea, and France.
