Judith Benderson

Benderson exhibits in the Washington, DC area, most recently at American University’s Katzen Arts Center, DC Arts Center, and BlackRock Center for the Arts, and participated in public art projects including DC Party Animals and Color Field Remix. She worked as the Cultural Property Law Enforcement Coordinator at the Justice Department covering art theft and artifact smuggling and did appraisals for the FBI Art Theft Program. Benderson has a JD from American University, a BA and an MFA from George Washington University, and is certified in fine and decorative arts appraisal. She organized the 2018 Washington Women’s Arts Center retrospective, Latitude, at the American University Museum. jbenders@hotmail.com
