Julie was born in Brooklyn, New York July 31, 1964, and raised in Miami, Florida. She is of Italian and Cuban Origin. She has received her Bachelors of Visual Arts in Drawing and Painting from Florida International University in 1990. Julie has exhibited her work in the 2009 Solo Show Within Four Corners, Fifth Avenue Art Gallery, Melbourne, Florida, First Place, 100% Pure Florida Show, 2007 San Diego Art Institute, Museum of the Living Artist , and many international group shows.

Julie paints the figure. Her work is about humanity, the depiction of emotion and the physical states of being, the cycles we go through in this vastness of humanity and the process of species being.
