Kate Hooray Osmond

Kate Hooray Osmond paints large scale oil and gold leaf paintings of the United States. She employs a helicopter to photograph her subjects from above: typically industrial, agricultural, or socio-economic places. Kate is the founder of the COVID-19 Artist Residency. She was awarded the SouthArts State Fellowship for South Carolina in 2018, the Lowcountry Artist of the Year in 2017 and will achieve her MFA in studio art in 2019 from Maryland Institute College of Art. He work has been shown in the US as well as internationally. She resides in Charleston, SC.
