Mary Powers-Holt

Mary Powers-Holt was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has lived and worked in the Greater Philadelphia area all her life. Her home and studio are in Chester Springs PA on what is a historic farm and the buildings and landscape influence her work. She studied painting, drawing and Sculpture at the PA Academy of the Fine Arts and Art History at the University of Pennsylvania through the Academy and Penn’s coordinated B.F.A./Certificate program and earned her B.F.A. from Penn in 1989.

Mary is a collective member of the Cerulean Arts Gallery in Philadelphia and has exhibited her work in five solo shows with the Gallery since 2017. Her work was included in the group show “Crafting Nature” in the InLiquid Gallery in Philadelphia in 2023. She was an Artist in Residence in the Fitler Club’s 2.0 Cohort from 2021 to 2023. Past exhibitions include the Jeffrey Leder Gallery formerly in Long Island City, New York. The Alumni Gallery of the PA Academy of the Fine Arts, The Delaware Center for Contemporary Art, The Main Line Art Center in Haverford, PA, and Solo at The Rivers Edge Gallery, sponsored by Inliquid and many other venues. Her work is in many private collections.
