Susan Mentrak a multimedia artist-illustrator whose work is influenced by observing awkward contradictions in herself and society at large. She attended The Columbus College of Art and Design, where she focused on creating models and sculptures for use in illustration. Susan has participated in group and/or solo shows at the Canton Museum of Art, San Angelo Museum of Fine Art in San Angelo, Texas, the Stifel Fine Art Center in Wheeling, WV, the Akron Museum of Art, the Massillon Museum and Ohio Northern University. She has taught numerous classes and workshops. Most recently she was awarded a Creative Forces grant which is a partnership between the NEA and the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to improve the health and well-being of military and veteran populations.
