michelle marcuse

Michelle Marcuse is a South African American artist living in Philadelphia, PA. She received a Bachelor of Design from the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel and continued to Michaelis School of Art at The University of Cape Town , completing her BFA at Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA. She was invited to be part of an exhibit at BLAM Projects Brooklyn, NY [2016], Arte y Amor at Taller Boricua, NYC [2016] and Borderless Caribbean [The Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance, Miami, FL 2015]. Michelle is a recipient of a 2016 Fleisher Art Memorial Wind Challenge exhibition. Her work can be found in public and private collections including The Philadelphia Museum of Art. In2020 she received a fellowship with CFEVA’s Visual Artist program.In December 2018 she was invited to take part in Against Gravity: TECTONICS - Imagined Spaces: an exhibition organized by DORAL Contemporary Art Museum in FL. In 2019, an installation in April 2019 at EY - Intuitive Art Space followed her solo exhibition at GrizzlyGrizzly in Philadelphia, PA. Marcuse, in 2020, had a solo exhibition at Swarthmore College, PA, in 2020. Upcoming exhibitions at The Kunshan Art Museum, Kunshan, China, and at The AVA Gallery in Cape Town, South are currently are currently postponed due to Covid-19 until further notice. Recently, a collection of her work has been installed at Philadelphia's International Airport, Terminal A.
