Michael (Mick) Grochowski,
Currently residing in Willoughby, Norfolk, Virginia.
Hometown: Alpena, Michigan
During the 1970’s and 80’s Mick painted and exhibited his work regionally around his hometown of Alpena, a small town in northeastern lower Michigan. He graduated from a local Northeast Michigan college with degrees in Fine Art and Business Mgt.

Mick and his wife, Nancy, reside in Willoughby (Norfolk, VA), having relocated there from Michigan. They are proprietors of a printing and graphic design business in Chesapeake, Virginia

Memberships: Chesapeake Bay Art Assoc, Hampton Art League, Tidewater Art Alliance & Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association.
Background: Working in both Acrylic and Oils, and is currently doing plein air as well as studio painting as well as experimenting in sculpture.
Mick’s work has been accepted in many local and regional, juried and non juried exhibits. Jan 2016: “Dune Shadows” 3rd place award, Hampton Arts League 2016 Show at the Charles H. Taylor Art Center, Hampton, VA
Jan 2016: Exhibiting several works including 4 paintings from the “Native American Lore” series at state of Virginia General Assembly Building in Richmond, VA
Sept 2015: “Richmond by Rail” accepted into Mid Atlantic Plein Air Exhibit “City-scapes” at Peale Center, Art Museum, Baltimore, MD
Sept 2015: “Seeking Shelter” 1st place award, Williamsburg, Va. Plein Air 2015, quick draw
