Naoe Suzuki

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1967, Naoe moved to the United States in 1986. She holds M.F.A. in Studio for Interrelated Media from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. She works mostly in drawings that are highly detailed and executed in mineral pigment, ink and graphite. Naoe has received many awards and grants including Artist Grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (2001 and 2006), Artists’ Resource Fund from Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation (2008 and 2013), and the Blanche E. Colman Award from Mellon Trust of New England. Her drawings were published in New American Paintings, Vol. 74 in 2008, and Vol.86 in 2010. She lives in the Boston area.
