Geoffrey Pagen

Born in 1951 in San Jose, CA., Geoffrey grew up in Palo Alto and Santa Cruz, CA., and studied Ceramics in High School. He graduated from the Univ. of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA., with Honors and a BFA in 1973 in Studio Art, then attended graduate School at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI., with a MFA in Ceramics in 1975.
Geoffrey was a recipient of a Fellowship Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1982, and a Fellowship Grant from the Oregon Arts Commission in 1986.
His work spans a global context having finished over 100 commissioned projects throughout the US and abroad, and has had over 36 solo exhibits and 65 group shows since 1975. From 1979-2014 Geoffrey was Head of the Ceramics Program at Reed College in Portland, OR.
