Peggy Gooday is a Chircahua Apache artist, (Fort Sill Apache Tribe), living in downtown Los Angeles, CA. She is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Chief Mangas Coloradas and Chief Loco who joined their bands together by marrying their children, Sethmooda and Bey-it-tsun.

Gooday, a printmaker, painter, poet and writer, is primarily interested in creating a Chiricahua Apache narrative and is currently working on a book of prints, "The Apache Story Series."

Gooday is also interested in native basketry, pottery and the symbolism inherent, using these constructs throughout her work. Her goal is to create a visual vernacular of her cultural ancestry, attempting to gain more understanding of her heritage.

Her most recent work, a comic book titled "KABLOOEE", is her attempt to understand and impart the psychic impact of the twenty-eight years of imprisonment as Prisoners-of-War her people endured at the hands of the United States government.
