Prince Thomas

Prince Varughese Thomas is an Indian artist born in Kuwait and naturalized in the U.S. His interdisciplinary work examines culture, identity, and social commentary, drawing on his multicultural background to critique established societal structures and beliefs. Through drawing, photography, video, and installation, he reveals the interconnectedness of various subjects, addressing issues of race, class, politics, and identity.

With a background in Art and Psychology, Thomas humanizes his subjects, evoking empathy and prompting viewers to engage with contemporary societal dynamics. He believes art should reflect the times, continuously exploring the evolving cultural landscape. His work has garnered recognition and support from organizations like the City of Houston, the Andy Warhol Foundation, and the Joan Mitchell Foundation. Exhibited in over 250 exhibitions worldwide, Thomas aims to spark dialogue and challenge societal norms.
