Radio Sebastian

Radio Sebastian is an artmaking collaboration between Corwin Levi and Yumiko Blackwell. Our work is project-based and in mixed media. Our undertakings include looking at ruptured walls and finding faint fields, investigating gin piles, capturing the inside of eyelids, pulling moments from the void, and seeing how long people can hold their breath for shine.

Solo shows include the Roswell Museum and Art Center in New Mexico, Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, Virginia, the Target Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia, and Hillyer Art Space in Washington, DC. Two person shows include Arlington Arts Center in Arlington, Virginia, and the Lot in Detroit, Michigan.

Residencies include the Roswell Artist in Residence Program, Kimmel Harding Nelson, Elsewhere, the Millay Colony, Milkwood International in the Czech Republic, the Ucross Foundation, Weir Farm National Historic Site, Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, and a studio residency at Arlington Arts Center.

Corwin has a BA from Rice University, an MFA from the Tyler School of Art, and a JD from the University of Virginia. Yumiko has a BA from Georgetown, a MA from Georgetown in German Literature, and a MLS from Catholic University.
