Lisa Salamandra

Born in the United States, Lisa Salamandra has lived and worked in central France for more than twenty-five years. A professional visual artist for more than thirty years, she has exhibited her work regularly since 1989. Her series "Daily Bread" and "Raw Meat" have been presented at the United States' Ambassador's Residence in Paris, at "Europain : Salon Mondial de la Boulangerie", and shown in galleries in Paris, Berlin, and Princeton.
Lisa Salamandra received her PhD in Septembre 2018 from the Sorbonne University in Paris. She holds an MFA from this same university and a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Her doctoral research led solely on the series "Raw Meat" was under the direction of the professor Michel Sicard.
Several publications on her work have been edited: the exhibition catalogues, "Crotches" (2017), and "Daily Bread: Raw Meat" (2013), and the monographe, "Daily Bread (mon pain quotidien)" (2009). Numerous of her works can be found in private, public, and corporate collections worldwide.
