Sandhi Schimmel Gold

Sandhi Schimmel Gold is a eco-friendly artist who creates portraits and other work from upcycled materials, mostly junk mail.
She was born in New York, but has lived in many states from coast to coast. Her first art teacher was her Mother, who taught her at an early age to draw and paint. She attended four colleges, but completed her studies in 3 years.
Sandhi is Eidetic; one of only a handful of people with this gift, she's also a true Synesthete and has perfect pitch.
Sandhi began her work in this medium in 2004, using paper that would otherwise go to waste as materials to create mosaics. This technique developed into intricate portraits which have been shown in museums in the United States and Great Britain.
Although Sandhi attended art school,] her degree us in Psychology] this method is self-taught and unique. Sandhi only uses non-toxic and water based adhesives and lacquers to complete her work.
