Sharon Louise Barnes is an inter-disciplinary artist born in Sacramento, CA and raised in Los Angeles. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in galleries, museums, art fairs and community-based art centers, including the California African American Museum, the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Tom Bradley International Airport, and the Watts Towers Art Center. Working in the medium of Social Abstraction, she explores both expression and discourse on matters of race, gender, culture and the potency of change.
