Sharon Buck

Sharon grew up in an artistic family with a heritage of painting from her mother, one of textile work from her grandmother, and a passion for collecting all of it from her father. She took formal oil painting lessons at the age of five years from an artist neighbor and she has a BS degree from East Carolina University in Interior Design and a minor in Biology. She has a master’s degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC with a concentration in Greek and Hebrew.
Sharon works in textiles to express her artistic goals. She dyes and prints a lot of her own fabric and collects commercial fabrics at every opportunity. Her love of the outdoors and the sea influence her choices in subject matter as well as her love of portraiture.
