Stephen Shooster

The Shoosty Gallery highlights the creative work of Stephen Shooster, conceptual artist.

Stephen Shooster aka "Shoosty", earned his degree from the University of Florida in Fine Arts, with a major in painting and a minor in Architecture. He entered the family business as a technician and slowly became a visionary guiding the industry. Upon graduation he continues to paint on a daily basis. His latest work is about the Co-Evolution of Visual Art and Music. These have always co-existed as artists listen to music and musicians are affected by the visual world.

Shoosty embraces all forms of technology and material science. He was an early adapter to Acrylics from Oils and more recently to Watercolor Pencils. All of his work has an underlying technical craftsmanship. Currently he has been exploring the use of Pen and Ink mixed with Watercolors then scanned, adjusted in Photoshop and printed on a wide format printer and then again painted in Acrylic. He is meticulous in his approach handling all the technical tasks on his own. The result is a single visual voice that fills the room with visual music. Something you have to see to understand.
