Sarah Tortora

Sarah Tortora (b. 1988; New Haven, CT) is a visual artist currently living and working between New Haven and Philadelphia, concentrating on sculpture and photography. She received an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, and while in attendance, served as a Lecturer of Contemporary Art at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia. Sarah was an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center in Summer 2012, and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Summer 2013. She is the recipient of the Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship, issued through the Toby Fund and the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, Sarah is serving as an Adjunct Professor of Sculpture at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut.
