Susan Wendlandt

Susan Kloch Wendlandt (SILK)

I was born in Chicago Ill. I absorbed the cultural opportunities that Chicago offered in the 1960's and 70's.

Since the late 1970's I live in Central Wisconsin.

My artwork often reflects a blend of my Chicago attitude, energy and perspective, sprinkled with a touch of the north woods flavor.

My primary focus is printmaking but I also create surrealistic charcoal drawings, printmaking, collage, paper making, photography and textile design.

My diverse artistic interests stem from my artistic lineage.

Collectively, I've been teaching art for the past 35 years. I've been a 4-H youth development adviser and I've designed and instructed art programs at the local YMCA Organization and U.W. Extension.

I'm presently teaching a visual art courses at Immanuel Lutheran School and offer printmaking demonstrations and private are art lessons in central and northern Wisconsin.
