Susan Putnam Kleps was born and raised in Osceola, Missouri. After attending Missouri Southern State University, Susan joined the United States Army. Susan would go on to receive two graduate degrees: a Master of Studio Art and Theory from Drury University and a Master of Art Education from the University of Nebraska Kearney.
Susan is a mixed media artist, but specializes in excessively detailed medium to large scale paintings. Her work is inspired by her many world travels via the Army and her upbringing in a small town Missouri junkyard.
Susan has lived the majority of her adult life on the East Coast, but is in the process of moving with her family (husband Jason and daughter Julia) to Oklahoma.
