Tim Bowman

Tim Bowman [American, b. 1971] creates quiet photographs of his immediate surroundings, often using manipulated or handmade cameras. He finds the mystery in ordinary things. His photographs present the world as the camera sees it, rather than as it actually is. Originally trained in film photography, Tim rediscovered darkroom work after two decades of manipulating moving images for film and television. He is currently working with paper negatives in large format cameras.
