Vicki Milewski

Vicki Milewski is an American Artist who captures inspiring experiences of nature, communities and cultures with painting, drawing, photography, film, words and music. Milewski’s celebrated and award-winning, artworks are internationally collected, exhibited and performed. Milewski’s oil paintings bridge realism and abstraction, her unaltered photos capture specific moments like emerging corn at 6:25am, her book arts include her poetry and creative nonfiction writings, her music is composed to express melodic atonality steeped in Charles Ives, her short films are breathtaking experiences of our natural world. She has several large art collections that span themes like the Badlands of South Dakota, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, hiking in Yellowstone National Park and more as well as art collections inspired by ideas from Chicago Architect Louis H. Sullivan and “Where Our Food Comes From” to name just a few. These compelling art collections express the healing potentials of our land, its people and cultures often making precise references to sites, history, philosophy, ontology and pop culture.
