Hilda Green Demsky was born in Pennsylvania.She lives and works in Larchmont, New York.She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Painting and Design, and from Hunter College with an MA in Art Education. Mrs.Demsky has received many national awards including a National Endowment for the Arts to paint in Italy, a Fulbright Fellowship to The Netherlands, a Puffin Foundation grant for environmental art and a Christa McAuliffe Fellowship from the U.S. Government.She was the Artist-in-Residence at Acadia National Park and has been awarded numerous artist residencies in Spain, Ireland, Costa Rica and the U.S. She has exhibited her paintings in many museums, universities and galleries.
