I am an artist based in Glasgow, Scotland.I have a degree in Drawing and Painting fromEdinburgh College ofArt. I have had several exhibitions and currently am an artist in residence.My next exhibition will be in Chicago in the Magnificent Mile, part of the Conference of Europeanists taking place in March 2018.
My work is figurative and includes making hundreds of portrait drawings of refugees and asylum-seekers in Scotland and pairing each with text about the experience of being drawn,and life before and after exile.
My work is about dislocation, separation and the thread of this runs through the Still life,landscape and portraiture work. My most recent light box paintings are loosely based around pilgrimage.
