Artists Statement - Zarina Keyani

My current wok ‘Land Of Heroes’ is about history and myth. When does history become myth and how our lives today may one day be part of a mythical legend. Over time reality becomes story and myth.

I work in all mediums of paint; oils, water-soluble oils, watercolour, ink, gouache, acrylics, mixed media and other mediums; collage, clay, textiles and fibres and digital art. I am also an avid photographer and like to capture the essence of the moment in day to day life.

I am foremost an artist but I am also a curator, and work with local galleries and artists for exhibitions, events, tutoring and mentoring, including artists practice.
