About the author

Originally from Philadelphia, I came to Baltimore for graduate work at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1984 receiving my MFA degree in 1986. I began teaching as Affiliate Faculty at Loyola University MD in 1987 and from 2002 to 2008 became full time faculty teaching and directing the Julio Fine Arts Gallery retiring in 2014. Latest exhibitions include: Perception of Light, Julio Fine Arts Gallery, Loyola University, Baltimore, MD 2016, Shifting Light, C. Grimaldis Gallery, Baltimore, MD 2014, Abstraction:Finding the Thread, Vis Arts, Rockville, MD 2014, Flow And Shift, Vis Arts, Rockville MD 2013, Summer Show, C. Grimaldis Gallery, Baltimore, MD 2013, Body Work, Stevenson University, Stevenson MD, 2010 and from the center:LINE DRAWINGS at C. Grimaldis Gallery, 2009. I have also exhibited in Florida, Virginia, Washington DC and France. In 2013, I received a Franz And Virginia Bader Fund award as well as a MD State Arts council award. I have previously received MD State Arts Council awards in 2002, 1996 and 1995.
