Gina Pierleoni is a mixed media artist who has been exhibiting professionally for the past 30 years. She earned degrees from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore (MFA) and the College of New Rochelle in New York (BFA). Pierleoni has received numerous awards including three Individual Artist Awards from the Maryland State Arts Council, one from the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, and two nominations to participate in the Florence Biennale.
In addition to exhibiting her art work, Pierleoni is involved on many other levels in art including, book illustration, curating exhibitions, leading workshops, and as a creative consultant. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Harford Community College and at the TAI Sophia Institute Transformative Leadership and Social Change in Laurel, Maryland.
Gina Pierleoni's art work is in nearly 100 private collections in the U.S. and Canada. Public collections include: Golden Artist Colors (New Berlin, NY), The Brooklyn Library (NY), The College of New Rochelle (NY), Harford Community College (Bel Air, MD), and St. Joseph’s Nursing Home (Baltimore, MD).
